Charlie Durkee

as our new Pastor.​

    Charles (Charlie) Durkee was born on Thanksgiving Day 1950- one of the coldest Thanksgiving on Wisconsin record. He attended Rhinelander High School, graduating in 1970 (GO Hodags!!)  Charlie’s first marriage of 20 years blessed him with 3 children. He was then married to his late wife, Loretta, for 33 years.
    He served in the Air Force for 22 years in Civil Engineering. Charlie has held the head maintenance position at Moon Beach Camp in St. Germain for 34 years. As a registered high school (WIAA) official, the sports of baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, and football keep him moving. The outdoors is his passion, doing his best and finest praying 20 feet up in a tree in a deer stand, or on a quiet lake.
    In August of 2023, Charlie received his Credentials of Ministry through the Universal Life Church Ministries in order to perform the wedding ceremony for his granddaughter’s wedding.
Charlie accepted the position of our pastor in June 2025. He believes this, by far, is his most important challenge, preaching God’s word to all.
